I was Okay, embroidery on lace shirt, 2013.
The clothes I own are sentimental to me; I often find myself holding onto clothes that have an immense sentimental memory attached to them, or some with very little memory at all. "I was Okay" is an exploration of this sentimentality, as well as a study of the slow, meditative process of embroidery; the words become a mantra with each letter that was sewn.
